Autumn Skincare

As the unpredictability of the winter season approaches, it’s time to rethink and adapt your skincare routine and give some thought to the best professional treatment for you.

Our skin can become especially dry and dehydrated during the winter months, but switching to more hydrating and nourishing products and changing from your usual facial treatments can give your skin a head start through the cooler months ahead.

I’m seeing fabulous results in the therapy room by incorporating Dermalux LED light therapy in many of my facials and my clients are really enjoying the added treatment experience.

Tip: Now that uv levels have reduced, reintroduce serums containing vitamin A/retinoid to regenerate cell renewal and encourage a more radiant glow.

Sensitivity

Skin sensitivity can be distressing and difficult to manage at any time of year, but exposure to the elements and extreme temperature changes can make the problem even worse.

Calming and soothing facials can help here, together with the correct home care to regulate and calm skin sensitivity and seasonal flareups.

Harsh cleansers will further dry out and irritate dry, sensitive skin.

Tip: Switch from foaming cleaners to more gentle, hydrating cleansers.
