What’s been happening at Tranquillity during this last month?

As the new normal becomes more normal, I thought now would be a good time to update you and let you know what’s changed at Tranquillity.

My amazing industry is resilient, adaptive and will be forever-changing.

The main aim for me, as your therapist, is to create a safe haven for you to relax in. I want you to ensure you enjoy your beautification and well being experience as much as you possibly can.

As well as the mandatory regulations, I’ve put a few extra measures in place to keep every one of you reassured, safe and happy and to ensure I’m the most confident therapist that I can be.

Here’s a little update about how things have changed at Tranquillity since March ……

A few days before every client appointment I’ve been sending a confirmation text with a link to Tranquillity’s Covid 19 website page.

This explains exactly what each client will experience during their visit – from the very moment they arrive.

Every client also needs to sign a confidential Covid 19 consultation form before each and every appointment and the voluntary Track and Trace is in place too.

I’ve risk-assessed Tranquillity’s environment and every treatment I offer to ensure nothing’s been overlooked.

I’ve recently had my annual PAT testing done on all the electrical equipment in the therapy room.

When you arrive:

I’ll always greet you wearing my mask and visor and a clean apron and uniform, having just taken my own temperature and hand sanitised.

As guidelines stand at present, it’s required by law for clients to wear a mask throughout all massage treatments and all treatments that don’t require work around the mask zone.

Masks can be removed during facials and facial waxing.

Appointments are scheduled so that there will only ever be yourself and myself present with no overlap between appointments.

Any areas that you come into contact with and anything you touch, such as door handles, the card processing machine, the therapy couch, towels and bedding are disinfected before and after each visit.

I’ve also replaced and purchased so many new items. The list would be too long to write here, but to name just a few new Tranquillity additions:

I’ve purchased an accurate sensory, digital thermometer to check my own and the client’s temperature on arrival.

There’s the smart ‘mind-of-their-own’ sensory soap and hand sanitiser dispensers, only dispensing the very highest quality Germaine De Capuccini products of course!

There’s a lovely copper hand bowel and a clean, single-use hand towels and for you to use at the Tranquillity sanitation station.

There are beautiful new couch sarongs and lovely new soft eco towels and robes.

There’s a new filtered water cooler and paper cups if you want to use them.

There’s a giant Himalayan salt lamp in a corner of the therapy room, which looks beautiful and emits a lovely, relaxing glow. The benefits of salt lamps may also help to naturally improve air quality and help relieve tension and anxiety!

There’s a storage area under the therapy couch, where I used to store towels, which is now a little sanitised haven for you to place your personal belongings when you get changed.

There are some exiting new treatments too, ranging from new facials to help with the ever increasing problem of maskne and some new massages.

There’s an entirely new luxury facial waxing system from The London Spa Company.

In the therapy room, you’ll not see any products on the tester stand, shelves or trolley, other than what’s needed for your specific treatment. Everything is now stored out of the way and any product bottles or surfaces I’ve touched during treatments are cleaned thoroughly afterwards.

The windows behind the shutters are open when the weather permits, a gentle fan can then be switched on to keep the air circulating nicely.

It’s always been lovely to catch up when you arrive but we’ll avoid any long chatter and get on with the main purpose of your visit ……. to relax, unwind and enjoy your chosen treatment.

I’m so pleased that the power of human touch has at last returned to Tranquillity and I’m loving welcoming you all back. Long may it continue.
